Today Abby came to visit while Bethany and the kids went swimming. She fell asleep, so we put ornaments on the tree. What fun to have the kids help to decorate. They did a great job and it was so much fun to hear Will exclaim as he pulled an ornament out of the box, “Apple!” They both enjoyed time on the ladder to put things up high.
This is the fourth one of these Christmas stockings that are with the stained glass technique. Also, we went to a local nursery to look at trees and one that was not as big as I would have liked was $60! I came home with the poinsettia pictured below instead.
Today it was sunny and warm in Cleveland, so we decorated the outside for Christmas. We went over to Eric’s after they went home to see Eric & Bethany’s colored lights. I think he is more excited with them than the children are.
Pumpkin, cherry and mock apple with crumb topping.
Whole wheat dinner rolls. Not like Mom used to make, but I think they will taste good. Two pies in the oven as I speak. Maybe if I am ambitious I will make a third one.
Tomorrow I will be busy baking pies, bread and who knows what else. Sonny does the turkey, so that leaves me free to prep the vegetables and salad and make the stuffing. Hoping you all have a blessed day, full of gratefulness for the benefits God daily loads us with.
